Junior High Math & Science Teacher

Calgary Jewish Academy is looking to hire a highly motivated and qualified, dynamic, diversified, and passionate Individual to teach Junior High Math and Science as well as additional courses as required for the upcoming school year (2023 – 2024)

Experience with higher level Math and Science courses would be an asset
Provide high standards of academics
Provide differentiated instruction in a small classroom space for students in grades 7-9

Qualifications and Responsibilities

  • Applicants are required to:
  • Have a Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate – Interim or Permanent
  • Have a Bachelor of Education Degree or experience and equivalent recognized by Alberta Education
  • Have an understanding of differentiation
  • Teach according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the individual students and groups of students
  • Be adaptable and flexible in a supportive learning environment
  • Be committed to working as a team member in a collaborative setting
  • Have strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Be committed to professional development and the vision and mission of the CJA
