The CJA is an inclusive community school and we foster an environment where children of all denominations and faiths are welcome. We are one of the few private schools in Calgary where no admission exam is required. In addition, we do not require bond or membership fees. The school offers a rigorous dual curriculum (Alberta Education and Judaic studies) in addition to numerous extracurricular activities, intramural sports, community experiences and leadership development opportunities.
Thank you for your interest in the Calgary Jewish Academy. The CJA is more than just a school, we’re Mishpacha (Family). We are a caring community that consists of teachers and staff, parents, grandparents, alumni and friends.
Families choose the CJA because they seek a challenging and supportive environment where they can be partners in their child’s learning. While an integrated curriculum guides students toward academic excellence, strong critical thinking skills, and pride in their Jewish heritage.
Preschool is a place filled with happiness where children grow. Be introduced to the joys of learning and experience an innovative program.
Take the skills and concepts learned in Nursery through Kindergarten to the next level where you are given to the tools to develop identity.
By the time students are in Grade Nine they have developed time management, critical thinking and organizational skills through focused study habits.

The Calgary Jewish Academy believes that no member of the Jewish community should be denied access to Jewish education because of cost. With the support of the Calgary Jewish Federation and their Integrated Bursary Program (IBP), families are provided a dignified, anonymous, effective and fair opportunity to make Jewish life more affordable.
