Affordable licensed daycare in a COMMUNITY school setting

CJA’s Nursery and Junior Kindergarten are licensed, affordable daycare programs for ages 3 and 4 in a warm and welcoming Nursery to Grade 9 school community. Families can choose morning-only or full-day options, while children learn through play and build the skills and confidence they need for Kindergarten and beyond.

Nursery – Age 3

Nursery at CJA introduces young children to learning through play, exploration, and social interaction. Our youngest learners are supported in building confidence and independence while developing friendships and realtionships with educators, and increasing comfort with routines.

Nursery students are guided to:

  • Learn within a structured yet nurturing environment
  • Explore through play
  • Develop social and communication skills
  • Build independence and self-confidence
  • Participate in creative arts, movement, and outdoor learning

Junior Kindergarten – Age 4

Junior Kindergarten builds on the foundations established in Nursery and helps prepare children for a successful transition to Kindergarten.

Students are supported to:

  • Develop school readiness skills through play-based learning
  • Develop early literacy and numeracy skills
  • Strengthen language and communication abilities
  • Build independence and responsibility
  • Participate in more structured learning experiences

Daycare Program Options

Families can choose from our Early Years programs that best meet their schedule and needs:

  • Morning-Only Programs
  • Full-Day Licensed Daycare
  • After-School Care Until 5:00 p.m. (included at no additional cost)

Our flexible options provide convenience for working families and allow children to remain in a familiar environment throughout the day with our caring educators.

Kindergarten and Beyond

CJA’s school-based daycare programs help children build the skills, confidence, and familiarity needed for a successful transition to Kindergarten.

Many families choose to continue their educational journey with us through Kindergarten and beyond, where students benefit from our unique dual curriculum that combines academic excellence with Jewish learning, traditions, and values.

Licensed and Affordable

Families with students in our licensed daycare programs benefit from the Alberta Child Care Affordability Grant, reducing Nursery and Junior Kindergarten fees to approximately $15 per day.

Families may also apply independently for the Alberta Child Care Subsidy, which provides additional income-based support. If your family is approved, please share your Approval Notice with us, and we will adjust your fees accordingly.
