Substitute Childcare Workers

CJA Childcare is looking for enthusiastic childcare professionals to join our team as substitute and, in the future, possible part and full time positions:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and implement age appropriate developmental activities and circle times that are inclusive and stimulating for all children
  • Carry out routines of the program
  • Establish positive working relationships with families and their children
  • Strong understanding of child growth and development
  • Ability to be actively and physically involved in the program
  • Be able to take input and learn from it
  • Able to have initiative
  • Be ready to act in case of an emergency
  • Follow the licensing regulation set out by Province of Alberta
  • Be very nurturing and lovely with all children in care
  • Assist with cleaning and tidying duties
  • Be a good team worker/individual
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Good communication skills is a must, both with children and adults
  • Be punctual

REQUIREMENTS:

  • ECE certificate (Require CDA Level 1, Prefer CDW Level 2 or CDS Level 3)
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Vulnerable Sector Clearance/Clear Criminal Record Check (last 6 months)
  • Experience working with children and/or in a preschool/daycare setting (minimum one year an asset)
  • Strong sense of awareness in working with diverse, multicultural and inclusive settings
