Principals Welcome

Welcome to Calgary Jewish Academy, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about our school. Choosing the right school for your child is a deeply personal decision, and I believe it begins with finding a place where your child feels known, supported, and inspired to grow.

At CJA, we offer a dual curriculum that thoughtfully integrates the Alberta curriculum with Jewish studies, Hebrew language, and values-based learning. From the Early Years onward, students learn in environments that balance academic learning with care, curiosity, and connection. Our classrooms are places where questions are encouraged, relationships matter, and learning is brought to life through meaningful, hands-on experiences.

We are committed to supporting the whole child. Our educators work closely with families to understand each student’s strengths, needs, and learning style, and we provide personalized academic and social-emotional support so students can thrive with confidence. Jewish identity, values, and community are woven naturally into daily school life, helping students develop a strong sense of self and a deep connection to their peers and community.

CJA has deep roots in Calgary’s Jewish community, shaped by the legacy of the Calgary Hebrew School and the I.L. Peretz School. Today, that legacy lives on through an inclusive, caring school culture and strong connections with our alumni and families.

I warmly invite you to visit our campus, meet our educators, and see learning in action. When you’re ready, we encourage you to apply and begin a conversation about whether Calgary Jewish Academy is the right fit for your child and your family. We would be honoured to welcome you into our community.
