The Calgary Jewish Academy is looking to a hire a highly motivated and qualified individual to teach Kindergarten, as well as additional courses as required for the upcoming school year (2025 – 2026). Consideration will be given to those individuals who: • Have experience with Kindergarten • Beneficial to have a Judaic background • Provide high standards of academics • Provide differentiated instruction in a small classroom space for students Qualifications and Experience: • Have a Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate – Interim or Permanent • Have a Bachelor of Education Degree or experience and equivalent recognized by Alberta Education • Teach according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the individual students and groups of students (ie. differentiated instruction) • Be adaptable and flexible in a supportive learning environment • Be committed to working as a team member in a collaborative setting • Have strong communication and classroom management skills • Be committed to professional development and the vision and mission of the CJA

Consideration will be given to those individuals who: Would work on our sub roster Have experience with elementary level Language Arts, Social Studies, Math & Science at several grade levels Have an Elementary music background Have experience with EAL and Special Needs students Having a Judiac background would be beneficial but not necessary Provide high standards of academics
CJA is seeking a new leader for the role of Head of School. The Head of School will be the driving force behind the institution’s vision, ensuring its continued growth, sustainability, and academic excellence. This leader will work in close partnership with the Board of Directors, providing strategic guidance and operational oversight while cultivating an inspiring and innovative educational environment. With a commitment to Jewish values and educational excellence, the Head of School will spearhead curriculum development, faculty leadership, and financial stewardship to build a thriving and future-focused institution. This individual will serve as the ambassador of CJA, strengthening relationships with students, parents, educators, donors, and community leaders to foster a culture of engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
