The Calgary Jewish Academy strongly believes in making CJA affordable for all families wishing to give their child a Jewish education and is committed to providing resources to increase access to the school. Financial support to attend CJA is provided primarily through community bursary programs, along with tuition discounts and early learning fee reductions where applicable.
This page outlines all cost savings options, including the bursary programs available to CJA families and explains how to apply.
To support families, CJA offers several tuition accommodations. In addition to bursary programs and early-learning fee reductions, we provide a large-family discount for the third and subsequent child enrolled in Kindergarten to Grade 9.
Financial assistance at CJA is provided through bursaries.
Tuition bursaries are available through the following community programs:
Each bursary program has its own eligibility criteria, application requirements, and deadlines.
Scroll down this page for details and frequently asked questions about each bursary.
As a religious independent school, the Calgary Jewish Academy issues charitable tax receipts to families for the eligible portion of tuition fees each year. All donations to CJA are also tax-receipted to the donor.
Families with students in our licensed childcare programs, Nursery and Junior Kindergarten, receive tuition discounts through the Alberta Child Care Affordability Grant. This grant is paid directly to the school. Families do not apply.
Eligible funding is automatically applied to each student’s account, reducing early learning tuition.
Families may also apply independently for the Alberta Child Care Subsidy, which provides additional income-based support. If your family is approved, please share your Approval Notice with us, and we will adjust your fees accordingly.
