Marketing & Communications Specialist

The Calgary Jewish Academy is excited to announce an opening for a Marketing and
Communications Specialist!
This fractional role will average approximately 15 hours per week,
depending on the time of year.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the school’s marketing and branding strategy,
    ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Oversee the creation of promotional materials, newsletters, social media content, and
    other digital and print communications that advance the school’s mission.
  • Ensure that in-school television displays are updated weekly with Shabbat sponsorships,
    birthdays, and school happenings.
  • Manage the school’s website, social media, and online presence, keeping content current
    and engaging for all audiences.
  • Work closely with the Community and Advancement Director and Event Planning Specialist.
  • Work with the Head of School/Principal and Head of Judaic Studies to integrate meaningful
    Jewish elements into social media posts, official school photos, and school-wide
    communications.
  • Ensure all marketing activities reflect the school’s commitment to Jewish values, culture,
    and tradition.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Content Creation: Proficiency in creating engaging content for various platforms.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze marketing data and metrics.
  • Creativity: Innovative thinking and creativity in marketing strategies.
  • Brand Management: Understanding of brand identity and consistency.
  • Graphic Design: Basic knowledge of graphic design tools and software.
  • Collaborative Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
