Calgary Jewish Academy Facilities

Gymnasium
The Calgary Jewish Academy is blessed with a large modern gymnasium which has a full length basketball court. A raised stage, which stretches the length of the gym, is used extensively throught the year for performances, presentations, and formal ceremonies.

Computer Labs
The Calgary Jewish Academy utilizes a network of PC and Macintosh computers to facilitate teaching and learning. Two computer labs enhance our ability to provide instruction in, and access to, information and communication technologies when ever students require it. The labs are staffed by an experienced computer education teacher, and are accessed by students from Kindergarten through Grade 9. The labs, generously supported by the community, are linked by a high speed DSL modem to the Internet. Other important instructional technologies include: digital cameras, smartboards, scanners, LCD projectors, video capture hardware and software, and various multimedia, web and print design software.
 
Library
The library is the centre of learning activity at our school. Students from pre-school through Junior high benefit from a weekly library skills program, which focuses on the development of students as lifelong independent learners. Emphasis is placed on helping students to locate and analyze all types of resource materials as well as promoting the use of the library for enjoyment of reading and literature. A computerized cataloguing and circulation system facilitates efficient searching and access to resources.
