About The Calgary Jewish Academy
The Calgary Jewish Academy was founded in 1987 as a result
of the amalgamation of Calgary's first Jewish schools- The
Calgary Hebrew School (1920), and The l.L. Peretz School
(1928).
The Calgary Jewish Academy continuously strives to meet the
needs of a growing, dynamic community. Students of the
Calgary Jewish Academy receive a superior education in the
Alberta curriculum, giving them a competitive edge,
confidence, and foundation necessary for a smooth transition
into other learning institutions.
Students of the Calgary Jewish Academy develop a strong
sense of Jewish identity through programs which raise the
level of Jewish education and consciousness. The Calgary
Jewish Academy recognizes that parents are the prime
resource for the child. As such, communication and
involvement are essential. We encourage parents to contact
us at the school with concerns, questions or suggestions,
and we in turn will feel free to contact you.
The school community- Parents, Teachers, Students, Executive
and Alumni- is committed to working together closely to
achieve our goals and objectives.
